FORMAT

Format & regulations

EHF Pseudo Champions League format & regulations

~There will be 32 teams split into 8 groups of 4 teams each.
~In a group only one match is played against the other teams.
~Each team will play one game at home, one away and one at a neutral arena in the group stage.
~The first 2 teams of each group advance into the Round of 16.
~The matches of the group stage are played normal rules.
~If a team is still in a national cup and is unable to play, they can challenge their opponent for a single-match challenge, who has the right to refuse and in this case the challenging team loses 0-3 through walkover. The deadline for arranging these matches will be Wednesday 23:59 CET of the same week (the week when the original match was supposed to be played).
~Two walkovers for the same team will result in that team getting disqualified.
~If a team is still in a national cup and is unable to play, the walkover score is a 3-0 loss.
~If a team misses two EHF Pseudo Champions League matches because of national cup, that team is disqualified.
~If a match isn't played EHF will decide its outcome. (5:0 for a winner or 0:0 for a tie)
~If two teams have the same amount of points in the groupstage the following sorting rules apply: Goal difference - Goals scored - Bookings (the fewer the better) - Total hatstats (the less the better) - Tournament Rank (the lower the better).
~The matches of the knockout stage will be played with cup rules!
~If a match wasn't played EHF will decide on who may advance to the next round.
~The final will be played on a neutral arena.
~Matches are being played as regular friendlies.
~Matches need to be arranged until Monday 23:59 CET.

The HatStats limit rule
IMPORTANT!!! Teams will not be allowed to make more than 340 HatStats in a game (320 for teams playing Long Shots).
Teams that violate this rule will be penalized as follows:
- 341/345 hatstats - the team is deducted 1 goal
- 346/350 hatstats - the team is deducted 3 goals
- 351/355 hatstats - the team is deducted 5 goals
- 356+ hatstats - the team loses 0:5
Two 356+ violations, or three 341+ violations, will result in disqualification from the tournament.

Relegation
The teams finishing bottom in the group stage are relegated to the EHF Europa Cup.
