The EHF Under 20 Championship was a friendly tournament for the U-20 national teams organized by the European Hattrick Federation before the World Cup.

The tournament was reflecting one of EHF's main priorities, which is to promote youth football and to encourage the development of young footballers.
The Czech Republic were the only national team who managed to win the championship in front of their own fans beating the Netherlands with 4-0 in Season 1.
Germany have scored the most goals in a Final after beating Estonia with 8-0 in Season 3.
In January 2021 the new format of the U20 World Cup was introduced in Hattrick and an official European Cup is now available. The EHF Under 20 Championship will be
no longer organized as a friendly competition by EHF, but the federation continues to support the tournament, providing statistics, articles, awards etc for the tournament.

Germany became the first team to win the official Under 20 Europe Cup defeating Spain after extra time.
After Season 32 the age limit of the youth national teams was increased to 21 and the U-20 teams format became U21.
Spain are the team, that played the most finals in the tournament having played two finals in Seasons 32 and 33. They lost both finals. Spain are also the only team, that
managed to play back to back finals in the U21 Europe Cup.
