HISTORY

Competition history

The EHF Europa Cup is a European friendly tournament for club teams organized by the European Hattrick Federation.

The EHF Europa Cup is one of the historic competitions in Hattrick.

The tournament was launched in 2007 with the name Best of the best. After the first season there was a two years break and then the competition was relaunched with the name EHF Cup.

The EHF Cup was again renamed after Season 4 has finished and from Season 5 onwards the tournament has been called EHF Europa Cup.

In the end of 2017 (Season 20) EHF took over the Pseudo Champions League and decided to make the EHF Europa Cup the secondary tournament to the Pseudo Champions League. Both tournaments are functioning as a promotion/relegation system. Both tournaments were in association with the HIFFA Club World Cup.

After Season 31 the EHF Super Cup was launched and the prizes will be distributed in that tournament. The winner and runner-up will participate in the EHF Super Cup tournament, along with the winner and runner-up of the EHF Pseudo Champions League (two knock-out semi-finals, drawn randomly, and one final). This tournament will be played during the first 2 weeks of the next regular season as a HT Tournament, for free, all credits will be donated by the EHF organizers.

The EHF Super Cup winner gets a 1-month gold supporter, the runner-up gets a 1-month silver supporter, and the remaining two semi-finalists get 10 HT credits each.

From Season 30 onwards every team will get a real trophy shipped directly to their manager.

FC Turtelona and Botev/pd/ are the most successfull teams in the competition with 5 titles.

Botev/pd/ has won the most back to back titles with 3 titles in a row.

Most goals in a single season were scored by Bengt Fjelkvist from Juventus DM (CZE) in season 26 - 13 goals.

In Season 51 the new sponsor of the EHF Club competitions was announced as SirRagnar (4622749) declared his interest to support the federation with donating prizes to the competitions. The new EHF Super Cup prizes were announced and the winner will now get 6 months gold supporter, the silver medalist will get 6 months silver supporter and the other semi-finalists will be getting 35 credits, donated by SirRagnar.
