EHF Euro format & regulations
The EHF Euro consists of three distinct stages: qualification, group stage and knockout stage.
If the participating teams are more than 32 there will be qualifications, where the lowest ranked teams will play two matches - one home and one away match.
The 32 teams are split into 8 groups of four who play each other once, with the top two progressing to the Round of 16.
From the last 16 until the final, teams play one game against each other.
The final is decided by a single match and if the final ends in a draw, it will be re-played a week later.
